Last friday, saterday and most of sunday, i was up at tahoe. Its really beautiful this time of year and we were blessed with great weather. I really only had two misfortunes on this trip and one of them wasnt even really mine, wait no, i had three for me and one for my bro so that would make 4 misfortunes altogether. The first thing that went wrong, happened while my brother was driving me, my mom and dad up to the snow. As i looked around outside the window along the freeway, i spotted at least for policemen who were pulled up along side a car giving them a ticket, or standing between the two people who's cars had smashed into each other. As Justin came to a gentle stop behind the line of cars stuck in traffic i again looked out my window to see a cop on a motercycle directly across from me. "Hmm, thats funny that we stopped right across from a-" CRASH!!!!!!!! A huge semitruck came careening down the highway to smash full speed into our tiny honda.....!!!! Just kidding. ; ) it was only a land rover going half speed but he hit us hard enough for me to jerk slightly forword in my seat. My mother gasped, justins eyes went wide with panic and my dad started twisting around in his seat calling, "What was that?!?!?!" Remembering the police man across from us i quickly looked over at him. He had seen the guy rear end us and was writing down, i guessed, the guys license plate on a yellow notepad. We pulled over on a shoulder of the highway and i heard the cop tell my dad that they had had 8 accidents in the last hour. He's certainly got his work cut out for him today, I thought pityingly. So the next three things happened on the slope. My family used to ski, but this time, we decided to all try snowboarding. I have been snowboarding once before, with Catie and Michelle and let me tell you, they are great teachers. As soon as i got up on my board i remembered everything they had taught me and made it down the slope in a record breaking 30 seconds. (I just won't mention the fact tat the slope wasnt very long) The second day is when it all happened. We went to north star and man was it packed! Everyone spoke a different language; Chinese, Japanese, Swedish, Germain, Spanish and a whole lot more. The people who did actually speak english spoke it with a british accent which i thought was very entertaining. So anyways, the first thing that happened was when i was half way down the slope(this slope being VERY long) and was waiting for the rest of my family to catch up with my. I began to feel a little bit worried when an asian boy who was seemingly having a hard time steering, started coming directly at me. My fears were justified when right as i decided i had better get out of the way before he completely took me out, he regained enough balance to steer around me, but unfortunately, not enough to not clip the edge of my board and send my flying down the hill. " Sorry!" I heard him call as he continued zumming down the hill. The second misfortune was much like the first, except this time the positions were reversed. I was the one who actually lost my balance and starting flipping down the steep slope twords a guy who was sitting in the middle of the snow, probably waiting for someone. i managed to stop myself before i hit him and i could see the relief on his face that i was feeling. "Wow, im sure glad u got that cause for a while it was looking kinda ---" for those three lines just use your imagination and you'll probably come up with what he actually said. The third and last thing that happened was probably the worst. My brother and i had decided it would be fun to go to the back side of the mountain, so, seporating from our parents, we took a different lift and started over to th other side. There came a part when it was flat and we had to unstrap on foot to propell us onto the next part. Watching my feet to make sure i didnt slip, i saw a drop of red appear on the white snow. "Oh no...." i murmmered hoping with all my might that it wasnt what i thought it was. To bad. It was. I groaned as a fountain of blood burst from my nose and stained the snow crimson. Staggering over to a wall of snow i dropped to my knees and watched with disgust as all the snow around me was dyed a bright red. Justin stumbled back to where i was and sat down next to me. "Here" he said, stuffing a fistfull of snow in my hand and motioning for me to cover my nose with it. So thats how it went for about 25 minutes. Justin would hand me a handful of snow, i would stick it under my nose and when it became too saturated with blood, i would toss it away and he would give me another clump of snow. By the time it stopped it was getting late and we only had time to go twice down the mountain. So those were my misfortunes on my snow trip.

Beth's home!!!!
As you can most likely gather from the title, my sister Beth is home from college. She's only home for a little while though, *tear* and will soon, as of this tuesday be going to the San Fransisco airport(i think) to be getting on a plane to Ecuador. She is going to be spending her whole 5 weeks of christmas break down in south america in a country named Ecuador in a town called pifo with the Baez family. Two summers ago our whole family(and the rowlands family) went down with other families from our church on a ten day mission trip. The men and boys helped build and construct a new classroom, while everyone else ran a 4-5 day VBS for over 400 mexican children. It was so much fun, even though i had no idea what the heck they were saying. Almost everybody came home sick, but it was worth it to look back and see the things we had accomplished and the lives we had touched. And now my sister is going back, by herself to get better at espanual( thats spanish for those of u who didnt understand) = ).

Funny things that happen at School
Well, by monday i'll actually have something interesting to post about cause i'm going to help out at hartstone(a bible camp) but i guess until then i'll tell y'all about some things that have been going on at school.
There were two things that i found worth my while to post about so this is going to be a very short post.
The first thing happened in science yesterday. Because we don't have school tomorrow, fridays schedual was moved to wed, which means that i had an hour and a half, or something like that, of english, bible and science. Of the three science is by far my favorite class, not because it's easy, cause believe me, it's not, but because the teacher lets us basically do anything we want. Now sometimes, him being so lenient causes major problems. So, a couple days ago, we got a new seating charter. Now, i like my seat in the very back corner next to the door very much, so i came up with a good enough reason to be allowed to remain in my seat. I now sit with a guy in front of me that always asks THE randomest questions in the history of mankind, and a guy beside me that always finds the wierdest ways to entertain himself. Not a very good combo to be stuck between. But i've gotten used to it now, and it's not so bad. OK so i dont know why, but for some reason, everyone says that i laugh ALL the time. Sometimes, that can get me in trouble, not only with teachers but also with fellow students. So there i am, sitting in the back corner of the room, laughing about something, i dont remember what, when one of my friends gets up and comes across the room to throw something away in the trash can next to me. "You laugh to much Kayla." she told me. In the middle of the period, the teacher allowed us a break to do whatever we wanted. The same friend came over with a water bottle and while i was laughing about something said, "Dont make me do this." i continued laughing because i knew that she wouldn't actually poor water over me. Wrong. My laughter, and the laughter of those around me imdiately vanished when i felt cold water gushing over my head and down my back. Luckily it missed the front of my shirt, but my back, and by this time, jeans, were soaked.
Everyone looked at me to see what i would do. Not wanting to cause friction between my friends, i just laughed and said nothing to the person who had drenched me. So, that was kinda funny. The second thing that happened happened to me today in chapel. I had a short sleeved shirt on, but a big furry jacket on over it. I had completely forgotten that hoods, which i had, were not allowed in chapel, so i had to take mine off. As the speaker was speaking, i moved down in my seat and drapped my coat across me. Slowly, my eyes began to close and, as you can probably guess, i fell asleep. I was in the middle of a strange dream when i felt something brushing under my nose. It freaked me out and i jumped so bad that all the people in my row and the row behind me started cracking up. (remember this is IN chapel) Teachers all around us started turning around to stare at us, so everyone started coughing to cover their laughter. As we were leaving, these were some of the coments i recieved. "What happened?....Dude, are you ok?....Oh my gosh! It looked like you were having a spasam!....(hahahaha) You should have seen how high you jumped!....Oh wow, your eyes got SO big!....I wish you could have seen the look on your face..." along with others i've forgotten. So those are some of the funny things that happened to me at school. = )

Rock of Ages
I have been asked repeatedly(sp) to write a new post so, heres one.
Last Saterday, was a festival called Rock of Ages. It was over in calistoga, so it didnt take very long to get there thankfully. Some of the bands that played there were MxPx, Phil Joel(who used to be with the News Boys) and Jars of Clay, who were probably the biggest attraction there. Phil Joel was the first of the three to play. He played lots of good songs and gave his testomony along with them. It was really cool how he told us about the songs he had written and how a certain event in his life had inspired him to write it. Next was MxPx. I cant say that i liked them, because really, i didn't. I didn't know any of the songs, and it really didn't seem like they were a Christian band. Jars of Clay was really good. Even though i only knew one of the songs that they played they were still alot of fun to watch. In between bands playing, I walked around with groups of friends, and looked at the stands that they had around the property. There was a place where skateboarders could go and do tricks, a shirt shop that had shirts with sayings like, I lost my mom in the mosh pit(to those of you who dont know what a mosh pit is, it is where people go way up front and all crowd around the stage.) I'm the Christian the Devil warned you about. And then my personal favorite, Jesus love you, but I'm his favorite. =) I thought that that one was funny. Another place was selling Christian books, clothes, cds and videos. And throughout the field there were food venders. So, it was a really fun time and I had lots of fun.

babysitting....or, petsitting
Alright, alright, everyone has been asking for a new post so here you go. Now Catie, this is mostly about your rat and the beginning may sound bad, but everything turns out fine, so don't worry. =)
Thursday evening, I got a call from my friend, and neighbor, asking if i would be able to watch their pets for the weekend while their family went camping. Of course i was happy to oblige, but then, i got a tiny piece of news that didn't excite me quite as much. I was also to be taking care of lucy, Caties rat. Now I have an incredible dislike for all rodents and reptiles and this one was no different. I was having my doubts as i was walking down to the Rowlands, but when they pulled the critter out of the cage, i saw that it was quite harmless, and maybe, just maybe a tiny bit cute. So the next day...well, acually it was probably night by then, when i had to go down to feed the pets I took one of guests from dinner. Cassie, our high school pastors wife. When we got down to the house i walked into the living room where i had been told by Catie herself that the cage would be there. I was stopped in my tracks by a most destressing sight. The rat was not there, neither was its cage. Oh great. I thought, where in the world is lucy? "Umm, I can't find the rat Cassie." I told Cassie as i walked back to the front door. Now i wasn't worried at all because i knew that the rat couldn't have just vanished WITH it's cage. But Cassie did not share my confidence. She began to look nervously around on the floor which i thought was funny, but she obviously did not. "This is not cool Kayla" she told me. Thus began a VERY thorough search throughout the house, including the garage, with the exception of the parents room, for the missing pet. But she was no where to be found. By now i was getting frustrated, finally i picked up the phone and called my mom asking if she had any idea where it would be. She said she didn't but she sent down my dad and OJ to help us look. After a while i told them that they could leave, i would stay behind and look for the rat. Well, i finally found it after they had left. She was in Caties room, where i had already looked about 1000 times, sitting on a shelf. I was greatly releaved and after that had no further problems.

High School Retreat
Hello to all my readers.
From wed afternoon to friday afternoon, i was up at mt. giliad(sp?) with my high school. It was alot more fun then i thought it was going to be. So, the first night we got there, we were expected to play these unbelievably dirty games. We were split up into teams and then moved from one game to the next. The games included, capture the flag, tug of war on a slip and slide with someone spraying you with a hose (not very fun) and trying (notice the imphisis on trying) to shave a balloon without popping it, the balloon had shaving cream all over it, along with other games that i decided against participating in. The food there was, surprisingly, very good and i learned a fun game that is sometimes played at debate tournys. Probably the best part of camp for me was the bucket of ice that they had on a counter in the cafeteria. (sp?) Now, some of you might be wondering right about now, whats so great about ice, well i'll tell you. This ice was not your normal break your teeth ice cubes, but small ices cubes the size of eracers that u could just pop in your mouth any time. So on to the speaker. He had very impressive credentials, i must admit, and he made very good points. But.....he didn't seem like he was basing his talks on the Bible, which disappointed me greatly. The first night he had those of us who had our Bibles open up to a certain passage and he said to those who didn't have their bibles, 'to contemplate why they didn't have their bibles.' But after the first night he didn't again mention our bibles, except for an occasional verse on the over head. So that was a bit discouraging, but other then that i had a very fun week of camp and made lots of new friends. =)

First Day of School
Greetings to all my readers. I apologize for not posting in a long time, been busy with home work and all ;) Anyways.....onto my post.
Last Monday was my first day of school at RVC (rincon valley christian). I was dropped off early so that i could have time to figure out my locker combintion before i had to go to class. After i had finally figured it out(took me a couple tries to get it right) it was off to spanish. All my teachers were very nice and made sure that every one felt comfortable. My other classes included, in order, English, Bible, Science, History, Math and PE. All of the people in my class where kind to me as they realized that i was new and had no idea how the school worked. So basically, i'm having a great time at school, and am learning alot. Oh yes, a funny story. It happened yesterday. I was sitting in my class and listening to the teacher talk about the home work that i had already finnished. I looked around the room a little bit before i descovered a red pen on my desk. I started to draw a flower on my palm and as i was drawing i thought, why not keep expanding it, see how big i can make it? And so, throughout two more periods and lunch, i expanded my flower so that it completely covered my whole hand. I was just getting to my wrist and heading out to PE at the same time when i ran into a teacher who looked at me dissapprovingly and told me that the pen was now hers. I got lots of complements on my flower, even one of my teachers liked it. So anyways, not really a funny story....but i had fun drawing it. =)

The last Day of my Utah adventure
(extract from journal)
This morning Catie didn't even have to hit me. All she and Elise had to do was count to five and threaten me with their pillows./ Now we are on our way to the plane, i'm very sad to be leaving but pretty excited to get back home./ Mom picked me up, I was so happy to see her. =) Chelsea, Emma and Jeremy are ion the car with us. WE had a good trip. I really didn't want to leave.../ Catie just got finnished singing 'White Christmas' in a really weird voice, and now, we are on our way home!

camp
Hello all.
As some of you know i just got back from hartstone bible camp. I worked there for a week (volunteer work) and had a great time. My mom drove me and a friend up sunday afternoon. Monday morning came and with it a wake up call at 6:00am. ( we were supposed to be in the kitchen by 6:30. =P) After making breakfast for about over 80 people there was dishes. Lots and lots of them with no one that had time to wash them except for me. After i finnished dishes we were given a plate of breakfast and then pushed outside for devos. Right after devotions it was back to work preparing lunch. When my friend and i had finally finnished dishes we got an hour, maybe 2 before we had to go do snack shack. By the end of the day, i was exausted but happy. I wasn't asked to do breakfast again until the last day. The second day, i think it was, i was on break and was utterly bored. Now some of you might be thinking, what in the world is wrong with this girl?? She has been working all morning and afternoon and now that she has a break she's bored! Well i just have this problem that i have to be doing something. So i called my mom and asked her to pray for me that i would have a good attitude and that i would be able to find something to do with myself. The next day, we went rafting down the river and the day after that we descovered bikes. After that second day i wasn't bored again. =) God answers prayers. The last day i was there we had to clean the whole camp which included all the cabins that had been used, the kitchen, and the gym. No small task. But we got it done and everything looked great.

Hawaii
Hello Everyone!!
As you all probably know, last week I went to Maui(sp?). When we got on the plane to go to hawaii i was between my brother, and a little asian kid that was playing a video game. Now normally i really could have cared less who i was sitting by, but this kid......he was different. Not different in a bad way, it's just that his game that he was playing was so loud that my aunt who was 3 rows ahead of me and on the other side of the plane turned around and asked me to tell the kid to turn the volume down. Anyhoo....i didn't end up sitting to him for the whole plane ride, so that was kindof nice. The second day of my Hawaii adventure i was washing the sand from my legs and feet when my family decided to leave my all by myself and go up to our room without me. Luckily i had a key so when i got to the 10th floor of our hotel i turned to the right and headed down to the end of the hall. I was about to slip my key into the slot when i noticed that the door was left slightly open. " How nice of my family to leave the door open for me" i thought as i pushed open the door and walked into the room. I stopped mid way in the hall when i saw 2 colorful rafts. " I didn't know that we had rafts" I thought before continuing down the hall. Suddenly I froze as i heard a womans voice that did not belong to my mom, sister, aunt or grandmother call out from the kitchen. "Ryan? Is that you?" Properly horrified i realized my mistake. This wasn't my room!! Whirling around I yanked open the heavy wooden door and flew out into the hall. Sprinting down to the other end of the 10th floor i came across the house cleaner. Timidly i asked if she knew who was staying in the room that by now i was pretty sure was mine. "Your last name please?" I told her and she smiled before telling me that yes, this one was my room. After that whole episode was over, i very much enjoyed my trip, and except for cutting my foot on the coral nothing dramatic really happened.

As you all probably know, last week I went to Maui(sp?). When we got on the plane to go to hawaii i was between my brother, and a little asian kid that was playing a video game. Now normally i really could have cared less who i was sitting by, but this kid......he was different. Not different in a bad way, it's just that his game that he was playing was so loud that my aunt who was 3 rows ahead of me and on the other side of the plane turned around and asked me to tell the kid to turn the volume down. Anyhoo....i didn't end up sitting to him for the whole plane ride, so that was kindof nice. The second day of my Hawaii adventure i was washing the sand from my legs and feet when my family decided to leave my all by myself and go up to our room without me. Setting off the alarm
Hello all.
Sorry i haven't posted for a rather long time, i have been.......busy, i guess and haven't had the time to do any thing on the computer. Now to my post......
It happened yesterday, and let me assure you, no one was expecting it. See i had just gotten home from a debate/swim party and had gotten hit a couple times by a water gun, so, i decided to take a hot shower and watch a movie. My parents had gone to evening service and i for one was not to hot on the idea of getting out of my comfortable pjs to accompany them. Besides, i thought, they'll have much more fun without me. I was right in the middle of my movie when they came home and suddenly anounced that we, me, mom, dad and my brother, were to go to the Halpins house for ice cream and that it was non negotiable who was going and who wasn't. I regretfully shed my comfy clothes for something nicer. Upon ariving i realized that it was just to be us and the Rowlands who would be attending. When Catie arrived(Michelle being to lazy to get out of her pajamas) we all, me Catie, Atalie and her older sister, sat on the couch, at a loss for what to do. Suddenly i hit upon a brilliant idea. Why not go over to the church and dress up using the drama rooms costumes?? After getting an, O.K. with our parents, we quickly got our sweatshirts and hurried over to the church. Catie and Atalie went to the the front of the church to try the doors there while i took Michaela around the back to try the doors there. ''Its open!" i heard Catie yell as she and Atalie dashed inside. Hmm that's weird, i thought as i followed them. The moment i stepped inside the building i knew something was going to go wrong, and sure enough, the churches alarm went off. Now when you think of alarm you might think of a small beeping that lets the police know that someone has entered the building, but no. This alarm was loud. So loud that when my sister set off the alarm off a different time, she was half way home and could still hear it ringing loudly. I didn't stop to find out what would happen. Doing an incredibally fast 3-60 i pivoted hard and started sprinting away with Catie and Atalie hard on my tail, the earsplitting shriek of the alarm ringing in my ears. Wondering where Atalies sister was i quickly turned around and saw a white van that was about to leave the parking lot stop by the church. A man climbed out of the van with a set of keys and stalked over to the churches office where he let himself in and turned off the alarm. Dread seeped into me as i realized that our rescuer had been the schools principle. With head bowed i quietly led my friends back to the church and apologized. I told him that i had no idea that that would happen, and that we were very sorry and would never do it again. He was very understanding and was quick to forgive. So i had an interesting evening and made myself a mental note to never EVER go into a building after dark, even if the door is wide open. You never know what might happen. =)

Day (7)
Catie hit me so many times with her pillow this morning!! I woke up to find her sitting in a chair beside my bed with a disgustingly cheerful smile pasted on her face. Danielle wanted to let me sleep in but, of course, Catie would not hear of it./ After passing out fliers around the newly built houses, Dereck picked us up and droce us to the condos. Danielle, Catie and I sprinted to as many condos as possable. Then we went back to 'Faith Community church' where we were given lunch. I wasn't hungry at all(because i had had over 9 cups of kettle corn in the car on the way to the church) so I sat i the church and journeled(sp?) a little./ Right after lunch we went to Idaho to visit the Napoleon Dynamite sites(which do not excite me at all). So I was stuck in the car for who knows how many hours while all of my friends took billions of pictures of the side walk where napoleon was riding pedros bike(well not really but they were taking alot of pictures). The movie sites where dull and uninteresting but idaho is very pretty. Then we went to 'Ruby Tuesdays' for diner where I got a side ceaser salad(that i took about 5 bites of) and a baked potatoe(that i at about half of). Then at last we drove home.

oops
ok so now some of you might be wondering wat exactly i was thinking when i posted twice about day six in utah. Well, the one without the title is the original post. When i realized my mistake i clicked on the back button instead of clicking, edit post. Then when i went to view my blog i realized that i what i had done and that some of my readers might be confused, thus the reason for this post. Sorry about the misunderstanding =D

Day (6)
This morning Danielle came in at about 7:00 and told me to get up. I said OK before promptly falling back asleep. Then Elise cam in and I think she told me to get up. But i fell asleep. Again. Then Catie and Elise cam in. Caties face was set in a determined frown. I pulled the covers up to my ears when i saw her raise her pillow. The pillow came down not once, not twice, not three times, not four times but way over five times!!!!!!!!!! She then ripped off my covers adn i stuck my head under my pillow. WEhn i had made it clear that i was NOT getting up she pulled up my shirt(i was on my stomach so yes i was completly modest) and put her freezing cold hand on my back. I screamed and bolted out of bed. So today we have passed out fliers. Catie got to talk to somone and i have been falling asleep in the car./ After passing out fliers Derek took us to the mall where we were given money for dinner. Chelsea, Alexa, Bethany, Emma and I went in to Zumiez where we got into a conversation with an LDS guy who worked there. Then I dragged Bethany and Alexa into Haripo(i think) and we tried on fun dresses. After that we were taken to watch Night at the Museam in the theater.

Day (5)
Well, I stayed in bed really late today. That was mostly because i couldn't figure out wat to wear(to all my guy readers, wat a girl wears is a very big deal. just in case you were wondering =D) i let Catie do my hair cause Dereck isn't here yet. Danielle says that we might be passing out fliers for vrossing church(whoever they are) then for lunch we will be goingto a place called Thanksgiving Point. After luch we'll go to a town coffee house in Ephriaum(wherever that is)./ AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is sooooo freezing!!!!! It started snowing! Acually snowing!!!! I could barely feel my fingers. We're in the van now. I really hope we don't have to pass out more fliers. it is so cold..../ I did have to pass out more fliers =(. But hey, i'm doin it for God and i guess that's all that matters./ Not quite sure where we are now. I'll have to check. On the car ride here,(still not sure where 'here' is). oh, we're at Cabelas. kindov a country mall./ Now we're finally at the coffee house in Ephraium. Try Grace Ministeries Club is a group of college people that I'm guessing are in some kind of band cause they have been in a few concerts. They meet at the coffee house that has 3 sitting areas, a basement and dorms upstairs. One of the college guys if playing guitar./ The sofa i'm sitting on is really comfortable. wow, random, i must be tired. After the Bible study that we were allowed to join in on was over, everyone either went to the computers or the kitchen. Of course i went to the computers and emailed mom./ I'm home now. That car ride was so dang long!! i almost fell asleep on someone i was so tired. We got home and i went to check the internet. Catie brought out Dreyers Dibbs(big, BIG mistake) and i ate about a 1/4 of the box. =) oops. I have to take a shower(joy) tomorrow which means i will have to get up earlier. I hope that i will be able to acually get up tomorrow......

skateboarders
Today after going to the zoo with the Rowlands and Atalie, (that's who i drove down with, alot of people from the home school group were there too) i came down to, at the request of Michelle, to jump on the trampoline with water balloons. (it was quite a sacrifice to come down seeing as i had just gotten into some flanel pjs and was VERY comfortable reading on my bed) I had alot of fun. well Catie and Michelle live right next to a mormon church. the church has a big parkinglot with stairs and rails, so as you might guess, this attracts skateboarders ALOT. we have grown quite used to this and never really think twice about them(with the exception of the one time when our neighbor yelled at them and they came and broke the rowlands fence. =D oops) so michelle is standing and i am laying on the trampoline waiting for catie to fill her balloon up when suddenly i hear michelle start to talk to someone. (i didn't see who it was at first cause the sun was in my eyes) he started asking her questions about where she went to school, what grade she was in ect... i started to panic not knowing who in the word this raggamuffin was so before Michelle could answer i quickly cut in by asking quite tersly if he needed anything. He gave us a cocky smile that made me wish i had better aim with a water balloon, before dissappearing over the fence. " i should have asked him if he wanted a facefull of rubber and water" i comented wistfully. Not wanting any more trouble michelle went inside and got her M4 automatic air soft gun which, unfortunetly, she did not get to use on any human targets.

Day (4)
This morning our host family fixed us breakfast. It was very nice of them./ Today was the first day that we passed out fliers. The mountains here are beautiful. I think that we're done now. Caite, Danielle and I were the first ones in the car so we were making our way to the back when Derek pushed the gas. It was more then a little tap becase i went flying and soared into an empy row. Danielle asked Derek to do it again so she could get it on tape, Catie started Lauging and Derek started apologizing./ We're back at the church now. Andrew (the only college guy that went) was passed out on the chairs, but how he's sitting up again./ Now we are at Chilies(i really don't like chilies very much)/ Passing out fliers was really fun today./ I'm back in my room. Elise is on-line. WE got home early today, which was nice. When we got home i crawed into bed and almost fell asleep, but Catie checking her blog woke me up and made me decide that i wanted a blog. So i got one.

My sister Beth
Well if you visit Caties blog you probably already have read this story, but i'd like to tell a different version of it. So as you can guess this certain post is about my sister who just recently turned 18 and is, no doubt about it, the biggest blonde clutz i have ever encountered. So i get up this morning and am going school when the phone started to ring. My mom went to go pick it up. Suddenly i hear her gasp before she breaks out into uncontrolable giggles. As it turned out last night at around 3 am my sister and her friend were asigned our neighbors house to t.p.(it was senior ditch day today and t.p. the juniors night last night) If you want the story my mom heard from our neighbor Mrs. Rowlands just go to Caties blog. When i was told the story by my mom i too started laughing, but when i heard my sisters version......well i kinda lost it. When she got home and we all sat down at the table mom and i looked at her expectantly. So she began her story. Last night, she had gotten a call from her friends asking her to come to their house because they were going to t.p. the juniors. They were asigned a group and given probably a list of names of the juniors they were supposed to t.p., and, of course, Beth got Johnny. So she and her friends got in their car and went to t.p. johnny, this is her story,(i will relate it as best i can) " my friend and i got to his house around 12(acually it was 3 according to mrs rowlands) i knew right away that we were going to get caught because i saw that the windows were open, but i dissmissed the thought. so i'm being really quite and careful, but my friend had no such intentions. first she dropped her keys, then she was being really loud unwrapping the toilet paper. Suddenly the door flies open and I hear machine gun fire!!! i almost wet my pants when i saw Mr. Rowlands shooting at us!! i quickly dived behind their car with the thought of 'he's acually shooting at us!' in my mind. My friend ran off to her car with Catie behind her," and well, you know the rest. =) if you don't just visit Caties blog. You'll be in for a very good story if you do.

Day (3)

Today is Easter Sunday. We're in the car on our way to pick up Bethany and BreAnn. Last night we watched parts of 2 movies on T.V. We found Stephanies camera and took a video singing happy easter. (i just watched everybody else make a fool of themselves =D)/ Now we are at church and i'm sitting between Emma and Elise waiting for church to begin...../ This is too cool! i totally forgot that the Lins were going to be here. It was fun getting to see them/ Church was amazing. I have never been in a service when i acually listened to the whole thing. I'm on my way to Wall Mart, i think, to do some game that jeramy has planned./ That is one of the weirdest games i have ever played. But hey at least it was fun. When we got to the store each person was given 1$ and was told to go into the store and buy as many things as they could for that one $. After the game we went back to the church and now my side hurts cause everybodys making me laugh so hard. *sigh* that's so annying. So far we have pretty much just hung out at the church. I watched everybody play apples to apples. Then we went to Sonic and now we are vack at the church again sitting in the pews waiting to hear the panel of converted mormons give their testamonies./ I'm back at my host familys house and Catie, Elise and Danielle are sharing what they learned. It was so amazing hearing them (the panel) talk and tell what their life had been like and what they had been through.

Day (2)

Last night i stayed up reading. I could NOT get to sleep for about 3 reasons. (1) The hall light was on (2) i had a computer in my room that had a constantly playing slideshow that was very bright and (3) One of the wats would not leave me alone! First it came up on my lap, then it sprawled completely over me. When i finally went to bed the cat crawled under the covers with me. When i turned onto my other side the cat moved also and put it's paw on my hand. lol, it was pretty funny. This morning i got up (not right away of course) and Derek picked us up in the van and now we are on our way to Temple Square./ Right now we are sitting in an upstairs room at Sandra Tanner's house. She is a Christian who used to be a Mormon. She will be giving us some helpful details about the Mormon religion./ After we went to listen to Mrs. Tanner we went to the Hard Rock Cafe(i'll be posting pic of the Cafe soon) It is so AWESOME!!! Righ now i am sitting at a table with Catie, Michelle, Elise, Salli, BreAnn, Amy, Derek and Danielle. The cafe is huge and has pictures, posters, costumes and guitars covering it's walls. There is a T.V. sporting mostly music concert things wherever you look. We should be getting our food soon, so now i'm going to go show Michelle, Elise and Catie, the pretty pink dress that i found upstairs with Emma./ After we were done with lunch we went to look around a nearby mall./ Now we're at Temple Square. They have gorgeous flowers here!(i'll be putting up pics of the flowers) we will be taking a tour, hopefully soon./ Wow! now we are sitting in front of a collosal statue of Jesus,(we are finally on the tour) The walls have pictures of the universe on them./ We just got out of the church of later-day saints conference center. The conference room was HUGE! It was unbelivable! now we are in a room listening to our tour guides./ When we were done touring, we were driven to a mall where we got dinner and i went with Emma, Chelsea, Catie, Michelle and Elise to some fun stores./ So now i am sitting on my bed with a stomache ache and a suitcase to clean. *sigh* i'd better go do it. Thank you God for a beautiful day.......

my mission trip to utah: day 1
like i said in my other post, i recently(well not that recently) got back from a mission trip to utah with my jr. high group from church. the following posts will be in order of what happened on my mission trip. the posts will be comming directly from my journal.
April 6th 07 Mision Trip to Utah Day (1)
This morning i finally finished packing at like, 8 in the morning(we were supposed to be at the church at 8:30) We picked up Catie and Michelle(our neighbors) and headed to the church at about 8:35. Bethany, Emma, Chelsea(all girls from my Jr. High group) Amy(a college person) Mr. Codding(Bethanys dad) and I are all in a car together dricing down to Sacramento./(the slashes signify the time laps between each journal entry) Chelsea me and Catie (in that order) are sitting next to each other on the plane. Cody, Max and Riston(Jr. High boys) are in front of us and Elise, Michelle and Alexa(Jr. High girls) are across from us./ Catie was my 'buddy' for lunch. Jeramy gave each pair 20$. Catie, me , Elise, and Michelle went to Burger King(yuck) adn sat together. Elise got a HUGE burger. Jeramy came by and told her not to let the burger eat her. (oh, just in case my readers are wondering, Jeramy is our Jr. High pastor) I got a couple good pics of her eating it. Catie and i slpit something sense neither of us were very hungry. Chelsea and Catie are both eating sunchips nect to me and the chips smell weird. Chealsea and i were going to watch "freedom writers," but the plane ride isn't long enough.(for once) Instead we're listening to music that is thankfully free(the movies weren't) Catie is playing brick on her ipod(never could get past the first 2 levels) sense i have her headphones./ We are here safely and are now waiting to get a car. Everyone is taking pics./ The rest of the ride we played M*A*S*H. Bethany me and Catie are in the back. Right now we are sitting at a country store called 'Cracker Barrel'./ Now I am at my host familys house with Danielle(Catie and I's college person) Elise and Catie. Righ now we are watching 'The Sound of Music'. I forgot my devotional in Mr. Coddings car(oops). Elise and Danielle will be staying in the back room, Catie will be in the living room on the fold out couch and i will be on the futon(sp?)
so that is pretty much it for the first day of my mission trip. i'll be posting more about that week later but for now.....my fingers are very tired.......

April 6th 07 Mision Trip to Utah Day (1)
This morning i finally finished packing at like, 8 in the morning(we were supposed to be at the church at 8:30) We picked up Catie and Michelle(our neighbors) and headed to the church at about 8:35. Bethany, Emma, Chelsea(all girls from my Jr. High group) Amy(a college person) Mr. Codding(Bethanys dad) and I are all in a car together dricing down to Sacramento./(the slashes signify the time laps between each journal entry) Chelsea me and Catie (in that order) are sitting next to each other on the plane. Cody, Max and Riston(Jr. High boys) are in front of us and Elise, Michelle and Alexa(Jr. High girls) are across from us./ Catie was my 'buddy' for lunch. Jeramy gave each pair 20$. Catie, me , Elise, and Michelle went to Burger King(yuck) adn sat together. Elise got a HUGE burger. Jeramy came by and told her not to let the burger eat her. (oh, just in case my readers are wondering, Jeramy is our Jr. High pastor) I got a couple good pics of her eating it. Catie and i slpit something sense neither of us were very hungry. Chelsea and Catie are both eating sunchips nect to me and the chips smell weird. Chealsea and i were going to watch "freedom writers," but the plane ride isn't long enough.(for once) Instead we're listening to music that is thankfully free(the movies weren't) Catie is playing brick on her ipod(never could get past the first 2 levels) sense i have her headphones./ We are here safely and are now waiting to get a car. Everyone is taking pics./ The rest of the ride we played M*A*S*H. Bethany me and Catie are in the back. Right now we are sitting at a country store called 'Cracker Barrel'./ Now I am at my host familys house with Danielle(Catie and I's college person) Elise and Catie. Righ now we are watching 'The Sound of Music'. I forgot my devotional in Mr. Coddings car(oops). Elise and Danielle will be staying in the back room, Catie will be in the living room on the fold out couch and i will be on the futon(sp?)

Hello all!
Seeing as this is my first post for my new blog, let me give all my readers a little bit of information about myself. This is the second blog that i have created(the other one didn't work) so i'm hoping that this one will be more successful. I live at home with my mom, dad, brother, sister, cat and dog. Recently i got back from a mission trip to utah with my youth group from church(i will be posting more about it later). I enjoy many things which include reading, emailing, talking to my friends on the phone, debating with my neighbor(well, only sometimes, if i understand the topic and there aren't very many people watching me) rearanging my room, drawing on myself (very bad habit do NOT try at home) and being outside playing a fun game that might or might not include water. This summer i will be going to hawaii for my sisters graduation(from high school) with my whole family,(which includes most of my dads side) So anyway, that pretty much covers the highlights in my life at the moment. I shall be posting more soon so visit my blog again!!!
